My experience with the ProtechMasta was really exciting. I was given a long list of the benefits of using a ProtechMasta saddle pad and an explanation of how it works and the technology behind it. I admittedly was skeptical about it, it sounded too good to be true. At that point, with my horse, I was willing to try anything.

A brief background on my horse…
I got him in July 2018. A scrawny 7-year-old thoroughbred, standing at 16.2h, he is built like a Warmblood. At that point, he didn’t have much in the way of schooling but was jumping small tracks with the previous owners. I brought him home and we started re-schooling. He very quickly picked up muscle and a lot of it. After 4 months with me, he was becoming increasingly difficult under saddle. Teeth were done, saddle was checked, he had chiro his first month with me. I had him booked for a physiotherapy session and I was shocked at how tight and stiff his entire body was. He was dangerous to work on as he was smashing us into the walls of his stable and pushing us over while the physio was getting his muscles to relax.

I soon found myself having to get the physiotherapist out on a monthly basis to maintain his muscles. His mild seasonal head shaking contributes a lot to his body getting stiff as well. Never have I seen a horse so stiff and react so badly to my physiotherapist, who I have been using for years and trust immensely with my horses. I had him on a work program the physio had recommended to help his body keep loose.
